Immigrants Can Code

This week in La Voz en Breve, journalist Mariel Fiori has a show on business and well-being. New York State is making an effort to help immigrants enter the world of programming and technology. We presented a mini table with Annmarie Lanesey, founder of Albany Can Code which offers scholarships for virtual programming workshops for adults; Abe Uchitelle, Regional Director of the organization and Ulster County Legislator for the City of Kingston; and Terri Tatcher Waltz, translator, interpreter, and student of HTML and Java with Albany Can Code. Careers in technology have great job opportunities, even in the midst of a pandemic, and with good salaries. In today's comment, she shared with you the editorial she wrote for the November magazine La Voz, The Fight Continues.

Teacher Duane Stilwell told us about the first amendment to the constitution: freedom of speech.
