Voting rights for immigrants and silence is not health

This week in La Voz en Breve, journalist Mariel Fiori has a show on politics.

New York City just passed new legislation that gives its more than 800,000 immigrants the right to vote. She spoke with council member Ydanis Rodríguez, sponsor of the law.

In our Identity and Memory series, we present a round table on Argentina’s last military dictatorship. Tamara Gruszko, Celina Pipman and Edgar Betelu returned, who were teenagers when the National Reorganization Process began and emigrated to New York decades ago. The Vassar College professor, the political scientist Katie Hite, also joins to talk about the different ways of collective healing that have been taking place since the restoration of democracy.
