Evelyn Bo, from San Luis Petén, Guatemala, who has lived and worked in Kingston for only four months with an 18-month-old girl, has an American dream and a great talent for radio.

Tamara Gruszko in The Newcomer brought us a panel of translators and interpreters: Cristina Márquez, an Argentine translator, freelancer, specialist in medical and computer texts; Eduardo Hermosilla, Chilean, engineer and co-owner of Accu Rapid Translations in Poughkeepsie, specialist in technical translations; and Jorge Baldizon, of Puerto Rico, court interpreter for judicial district 3, including Ulster County, with an office in Kingston. Everyone explained how they got to those jobs, how much is needed and paid for their skills, and where those bilinguals interested in following this career paths can be trained.

We also had the third installment of The Diary of Anne Frank.

Evelyn Bo, de San Luis Petén, Guatemala, ha estado viviendo y trabajando en Kingston por solo cuatro meses con una hija de 18 meses. Tiene un Sueño americano y un gran talento para la radio.

Todos explican cómo consiguieron estas posiciones laborales, que tanto se necesitan y se pagan sus habilidades, y donde los bilingües que quieran seguir esta profesión pueden empezar a entrenar.
